Summer has arrived!

Wow, today just seems to be a perfect day! It's the first day of my summer vacations *woo-hoo* xD, the weather finally seems fit for summer, and it's Lee Min Ho's birthday *yay*! It probably ended in Korea by now, but in LA it has almost just begun. Hey, the party stops only until the last time zone's day is finished <3 I'm so happy that I'm finally free from being a junior. Senior (and FINAL year) here I come :D Anyways, I have probably my biggest yet batch of icons. Its only 54 icons LOL but for me, that is A LOT since I have so much trouble with them. So I looked back and saw someone else

Okay yeah, its been terribly long! I haven't really been that busy either. Something inside of me has been lingering. I don't know what is is, but it isn't good. Something that makes me what to just sit still...and think. And think. Think. Think. Think. Then I become sensitive. If someone says something wrong, I feel like cursing them out. Its starting to become hard to control. So far, I have controlled well. Why am I saying this? Well I guess another reason why I haven't been updating here because of me just not wanting to do anything. I've been making a lot of stuff this month. Some of these creations are SO old. I made them last month or the beginning of this month. I really don't know. I have so many rants, but if I say something...I don't want people to think that I've "become" something or misunderstand me in a wrong way. That isn't what I need in addition to my thoughts.

Hey everyone! Time is flying by so fast these days. I just finished a semester of 11th grade. It felt like I just zoomed through it. I'm starting to get nervous about my future *i guess* Anyways, after I finished exams and studying super hard, I made some sigs. I made some of these before my exams, but never updated due to the freaking out XD

Oh btw, Happy Valentine's Day! I celebrated it last night at a party with all my friends. In school, we exchanged roses and teddy bears and all that LOL :D How are you all going to celebrate it? <3 I guess I'm not in the stage where I "celebrate" it, but my friends and I just love to give stuff for any holiday hehe!

Reporting from New York!

Hello friends! Just taking time to write a little about my trip here in New York. I am loving it so far and we still have a 8 more days here :D Well, so far...its different than Los Angeles in many ways. But the beautiful thing is that you can easily adjust to this place in no time. I was super scared that I will get lost in the subways, but its so easy and I love that there is such an easy method of transportation. My sister lives in the upper west side in Manhattan. My first thoughts of driving into the city from the airport was, wow...this is SO Bombay! I love Bombay, so I guess my love for New York is similar!

On the first day, I explored the area where my sister lives. She lives one block away from Broadway so there is so much to explore. I walked past stores like Coach which seem to stand there normally. In LA, they're in malls or promenade's. You wouldn't just see them standing there on the street LOL. I bought the morning bagels at this store that has huge lines. Apparently they have the best bagels in New York! I went to the grocery store and bought things my sister didn't have. Finally she would have a home cooked meal made by my parents again. After delievering the groceries to my parents, I came down and walked the opposite way. I look at the rushing traffic, the bright, yellow taxis, and the little children geared up with coats and scarfs. I enter Barnes and Nobles. The crowd in there makes me squirm, but there is no feel of fright in there. People are laughing together, sitting on the floor reading, and skimming books of their favorite genre's. I go to the graphic novels section and find the two editions of Fruits Basket which I had not read yet. I fund a bench in a corner. Before I know it, I've read both editions in about 2 and a half hours. I look outside and it is dark. I decide to walk back to my sister's flat where dinner is made. My parents and I eat, both discussing what to do the next day. My sister phones us to check if everything is okay with us. We're already missing her the first day since she is on call at the hospital.

The next day I wake up at 11: 30! I eat breakfast instead of lunch which consisted of some fresh bread from the bakery and some hot chocolate. My sister comes home by 12:00, and she eats the lunch prepared by my mother. We set off to a string of places that my sister has planned for us. We take the subway and walk towards 5th avenue. We start walking, and suddenly its my dream place. Everywhere there are those expensive stores and there is a flood of people. The lights glimmer all over and I'm smiling all the way. Bergdorf Goodman have amazing creations on their store panels. We take pictures of these amazing displays and continue on. I was amazed to see that there was a line just to enter Abercrombie and Fitch. At first I decided not to go to the stores I always shop at, but the curiosity made me wait. I was shocked to see the fabulous sales and I ended up buying lots of stuff. After, we went to Lindt's chocolate stores. My parents bought bags and bags of various chocolates. We continued on our walk, admiring the beautiful decorations. After 5th ave. we went too Rockefeller Center and saw the famous christmas tree, It was sooooo BIG and the light shined to the whole world. We went down to the famous ice rink and my sister and I went ice skating for half an hour. After that, we walked past the Radio City Music Hall and the Rainbow Room. Then we went to Times Square. What a beautiful and fascinating site it was! It was just how I've seen it on television and photos. After taking hundreds of photos and seeing the glimmery ball that will fall on New Year's Day, we continued on. My mom felt like having Indian food so we went Lexington Road and ate at this one restaurant. The food was really good for the line we waitied it hehe. On the way back, we saw the Empire State building. My sister told me that the Rockefeller Center was taller than it. Still, it was an amazing site from the top. Tired and sleepy, we finally went home and took a nice sleep.

The next day, we went to Brooklyn to see the Brooklyn Bridge. There we saw the city of Manhattan and all the humongous buildings. From where we were standing, those buildings looked like toys. We saw the Rockefeller Center, the Empire State building, and other great buildings standing tall. From a distance we saw the Statue of Liberty. We started getting hungry for lunch so went to a famous pizza store, Grimaldi's. The line was even longer than that of the Indian restaurant. We must have waited atleast an hour before being seated. The pizza is so famous because it gets baked in a fire coal oven. It was super cool to see the men make pizza so easily by spreading the dough and adding the toppings before sliding it through the hot brick oven. The pizza was super good and after being filled up, we walked back to Manhattan through the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a wonderful walk and we were able to take nice shots of the Harlem River. Back in Manhattan, we took the subway to Chinatown. It was crazy there! We walked and walked looking at all the jewelery, perfume, and bag stores. I ended up buying the classic "I love New York" shirt for only 3 bucks! As we walked down the road, we I saw a hair accessories store. Since I love headbands , I found out they were only 2 for 3 dollars. Shocked by the price, I started binge buying LOL. I ended up buying 14 headband and some hairclips. Next door to Chinatown is the Italian District. I smelled the strong odors of garlic and tomatoes. Still exteremly full by the pizza, we decided only to go for the famous italian desserts. My family and i shared a bowl of gelato and canolli. It was extremely delicious! We then went to Crate and Barrel 2 and bought some home merchendise for my sister and took the subway home.

Today, we decided to take a day off! I woke up super late after the two exhausting days. I went with my dad to the post office and helped him shop for more groceries. I simply lazed around today...catching up with both online and school buddies =D Since I had time on my hands today, I decided to write up everything we saw so far. I have been having great days in New York so far.

New work!

Well, after a long time, I have enough stuff worth making a post. I always think I should write posts in between even if I do not have work to show, but my life is pretty much boring. Same school, same things to do on a Friday night and Saturday. I watch all these new movies, but I don't know what to really write about them. mmm. I saw the hyped Twilight on the evening it came out. It was good, I am not afraid in admitting that, but the fangirls annoyed the hell out of me XD anyhow, thats the only thing LOL

I have a new header of Deepika promoting Chandni Chowk to China. I think the bangs are adorable, she looks really cute. The extensions look fake for how long they were in the pics. I'm really happy to finally see her making public appearances after SO SO long :D I'm super excited for CC2C, I cant wait till more trailers come out.

Movie Review: Kidnap

I finally watched Kidnap! I was so, super excited to see Imran again onscreen. So here goes, my review:

The Story:
Kidnap seemed pretty fine and okay to me. It was definitely not as bad as some of the critique’s said it was. I think the reviews held some unnecessary bashing. However, maybe this was good. I went into the theatre without any expectations at all and ended up actually liking it. Some might think that I viewed it with a biased eye because of Imran, but I beg to differ. Before I went, I had only read a few good reviews of the movies as a whole, and there rest trashed it. It was definitely not something “WOW” in storyline. It was something I think I can safely say, was slightly different than any Bollywood movie I have seen before. But I also have not seen Zinda, which some people are comparing Kidnap to. I also love the subtle, and soft shades of morals and values it gave on a whole. There were a few black corners here and here on acting and way of executing a scene, but I think the story detail was done pretty well. I don’t think I was confused about why something happened most of the time. The reason of Kabir’s revenge was pretty much justified, even though I expected something more gruesome and scary. But come to think of it, what he suffered was actually quite bad. I really liked the various clues of the game, as each of them had a unique purpose. That was pretty euphonious and interesting. The interval was perfect. Even though some parts throughout the story might have been a little “holey”, the interval was extremely clever because if someone wanted to walk out, they might have decided not to. It was extremely powerful, and well made. It’s always great when the climax or interval is strong. The ending was pretty good to me. Considering that this was a bollywood film, and a hook up could have happened, I was surprised that there was not. That was different, even thought I know some people would have wanted more out of the Kabir and Sonia story. I think if they hooked up and got married or something, I would have thought of it as a cheesy and stereotypical ending. Overall, it was pretty good to be, and most of the scenes were carried out well.

Song Picturizations:
---Mit Jaaye: It was an absolute pleasure seeing this in the end credits. I knew it wouldn’t go into the actual film, but it definitely tied in everything together in the end. I already explained how much I loved Imran in Mit Jaaye. So amazing, and his expressions were strong.
---Hey Ya!: Man, it just seemed unnecessary to me. I guess this was their way of introducing Sonia as a “fun, and social” girl. But this characteristic wasn’t really used elsewhere in the film as she was hostage. Seeing the usual cute Mini dancing in her so called “bikinis” made me simply confused. No matter how rich you are, no one dresses like that for fun, on the streets. I wasn’t against what she wore at the beach, because I am well aware of beach wear. I guess she was fulfilling the shedding of her cute image, but I guess she just didn’t work it in my opinion. I think Hey Ya! was a waste of time. Maybe a shorter and less show-offey picturization could have been better.
---Mausam: I just didn’t get the purpose. Was it to show that she needed a bath and sings while she does it in a sexy way? Or was it to show that Kabir’s character could be distracted? Overall, Minissha’s body language bothered me, in a sense that I found it comical. Minissha looked good in the very beginning, right before she enters the water. I didn’t like the soaked look, way too unrealistic. OH, by the way, Imran looked PERFECT, and so serene and great. I loved his expressions, even thought his character was totally checking Sonia out!
---Meri Ek Ada Shola: I accepted this song because it was okay in the way it was picturized. If it was only a item number, then I would have found it dumb, but things were actually going on, so I found it appropriate. Imran watching Sanjay during this song was priceless. Absolutely amazing.
---Haan Ji: One word=BORING! I didn’t like the song in the first place…and sitting through it was a challenge.

Performances:
---IMRAN, my STAR: I think he did amazingly well. The biggest thing I was happy about was that he DID improve from Jaane Tu. Improvement is always the best thing. Even though he wasn’t always perfect, it shows how hard he worked on this through his improved performance. His dialogue delivery was mostly really good. I think his stiffness was justified at some parts as he is talking to Vikrant for the first time. I realized, that the calls later were more relaxed. That just seemed so real, as if he truly got into the skin of his character. I found his character incredibly awesome. I think I said this before, but he totally had that “coconut” character. Hard shell, but the inside has traces of sweetness. I have to say, his body language was superb, and of course, his expressions were BRILLIANT. If something cannot be trashed about Imran, it is definitely the expressions he holds in his eyes. It shows every emotion in them. It’s definitely a plus point he has. His sudden gestures were awesome. It would even give me goosebumps. Especially the “game” he played with Sonia’s hand. That was unbelievable. Every frame he was in, he looked exceptional. He totally shed the Jaane Tu cute image, for this well-built and HOT look. Seriously, I went super crazy every time he wore something new. He looked exceptional in all outfits. His hair style was also great. Thank god they didn’t style him as bad as Minissha. His casuals totally worked for his character and look. This reaction’s to various things were really good. Some made my mouth go wide open, while other made me laugh. I loved his to the point answers to Sonia. He did that really well. Oh yes, once again, his voice killed me. Seriously, no matter how stern he was in his speech, it was as soothing as listening to lullabies. I will forever love his voice very much. My favorite scene of his was the chase between him and Sanjay, their confrontation in front of the cross, and his end scene with Minissha. Superb acting Imran! I’m so proud on how he improved so much. He will continue to rise, I have this huge faith.
---Minissha: She was pretty good. I think her expressions were cold, but maybe that was just because she was trying to show her kidnapped look. Her introduction after Hey Ya! was horrible. Her acting didn’t please me at all. But afterwards, she was much better and her dialogue delivery was great. Of course, I did not like her outfits she wore. No matter how rich you are, you do NOT wear things like that. And at the so called age of 18, no way . She also failed to impress me as an 18 year old. I don’t understand why they couldn’t make everyone a bit older. Overall, she was fine!
---Sanjay: I think this is the second film I have seen of him. I don’t have much to say. He was pretty good. His characteristic as the loving father, was done nicely.
---Vidya: She simply did not pass off a mother to Minissha. The lasy who played her mother is a better choice HAHA. I simply think she was a miscast.

Random :
+ I loved the beginning, the cartoonish sketches of his childhood, that was brilliant. The artist did a fabulous job.
+ Imran and Minissha’s height difference was cute hehe.
+When Kabir told Minissha to talk to mummy, the way he said it made me laugh. He said it so mockingly cute.
+The young Kabir would have been a better child actor for Siddharth HAHA. They should have found a kid more Imran-like. Or since he wasn’t that young, they should have had Imran, himself play that part. I think that maybe his Jaane Tu look would have suited the younger role.
+Imran has really built his body. The shirtless scene, OMG…was perfect, even though it was pretty sad looking at it.
+Stunts were really good in this movie. I loved all the ones performed in the chase scene.

Hey everyoneeeeeeeeeee!! i dunno if you guys can tell, but I'm just so excited. Finally i got a chance to create again. It just made me calm down. Its always a stress reliever. My friend and I were so happy it was a Friday, and we biked to the beach and just binged LOL. School has bascially taken over me (sadly). I never thought it would affect me so much, but there you go...it has. Anyways, I just wanna post the four things I made after soooooooooo long wheeeeeeee!! I am beyond happy that I atleast finished it and didnt throw them in the recycle bin XD

I'm also super duper excited because the Imran mania is coming back because the release date of Kidnap is approaching. I'm just like jumping up everydayyyyy. I cant wait because I know Imran wont let us fans down. The movie might suck, but his performance will surely be good. I just have this faith, that is hard to break =) Imran's look has gone a long way. One of the sigs I'm posting today features his new look for Delhi Belly. He looks like a scruffy gundaaaa, but nevertheless, its SOOOOO hot to meee *drool* Okay, i shutup and post those sigs.

Kidnap + Signatures

OMG, so i find this the perfect day to add an entry. Well not just because I have new creations to share, but most importantly...the Kidnap promo trailer came out. Kindap is a film by Sanjay Ghadvi and stars Imran Khan, Minissha Lamba, and Sanjay Dutt. Now my love of Imran is absolutely gone up the crazy meter after today. The story is about a rich buisnessman (Sanjay) whose daughter (Minissha) gets kidnapped (Imran). Now this is a completely different angle coming from Imran. In Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, we saw him as the cute and loveable Jai. Here he plays the evil kidnapper. And my god, does he look hot or hot? He makes such a hot villian. You will want to be kidnapped by him anyday XD I love Imran for choosing such a different role after JTYJN. He is shedding of that chocolate boy image. That too, after his first film itself. What an actor he is. A perfect one! An example of his look can be see in one of the signatures i will be sharing today.

Seriously, is that different than JTYJN look or what? Look how angry and scary he looks. That is the magic of an amazing actor. My heart seriously went even more crazy after viewing this picture. I am in love all over again <3 He just looks like he needs a hug in that picture. My my, evil has never looked more hotter XD

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing fine. I'm posting an update so quickly *wheeee* I'm so proud of myself. but a couple icons were sorta cut from last updateXD Not too much though hehehe. Hello peoples. Its been awhile since I updated my LJ, so i thought why not post an update instead of blabbing ^_^ Well I do have to blab about one thing. I got to chat and give a messege to Imran Khan. His reply was so super sweet and I will treasure and remember those words forever! *sigh* It was like a dream come true :D Not only did I get to give a messege across to him, I won an autographed CD of the JTYJN soundtrack, Arent I so lucky? ^_^ I feel so super LUCKY and I am ready to throw myself a big hug if I see him *yikes* But he was truly very sweet and I want to thank him SO much, Thank you Imran and I loweeee you :D
Next, I changed my LJ header. I hope you all like the banniie ^_^ It features the beautiful Ziyi Zhang. i loved the picture. It was soooo summerish! Do leave any comments on how you like it *grins*

Hey LJers! After a long wait, I was finally able to catch Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na on July 3rd, 9:30 pm. It was a most fabulous movie and I enjoyed it the whole way through. If only words could explain how much I love it :D Imran...I am just so proud of him. he acted amazingly well and his debut into bollywood just rocked. I know he will make some rocking films. I wrote tons about this movie, but here is just a short review.

I suggest everyone to watch this movie!

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na: Review

If only I could type out my reaction I would. At the end of this movie, I was still smiling even though inside I was sad that it had ended. But a perfect ending it was! The story seems like a puzzle. The amounts of pieces were perfect and each piece was placed correctly at a perfect time. It is yet another bollywood love story, but you know it is different after the end. The story is of Jai and Aditi are told at the airport. the airport is where it all happens. The gang, consisting of Jiggy, Shaleen, Rotlu, and Bombs tell this love story to Mala, Jiggy’s new girlfriend. At first she doesn’t even want to hear the story and tries to get herself out of hearing the classic and stereotypical love story. But throughout the whole film, she only gets even more excited and wants to hear more. It’s a love story with everything-cute moments, stealing glances, song, dance, drama, and much more. Even though there are slight, heavy moments in the film, there is humor all the way in the film. It is a definite MUST-SEE if you are looking for a light love story, without all the glam and rhona-dhona.

The actors fit their roles perfectly. You could feel as if you were there, at the airport, listening along with Mala. In my opinion, the parts could have only been played by those who did. This could have been a true story between the same people. That was how real it was.

Imran Khan- He has definitely made his mark. His acting was terribly cute and a girl could only wish she had her own Jai. Imran played the character of Jai brilliantly. Jai is your normal guy, but he does not want to pick a fight with anyone. He would rather spread peace. As said in the movie, Gandhi ji would be so proud that there was a Jai around. Imran fit all this perfectly. The camera truly does love him. He knows when to be cute, when to be serious, and yes, even when to cry. I highly applaud Imran for giving a nice performance and a smashing breakthrough into bollywood. Out of 10, I would give him an 8. If I didn’t consider myself a fan, I would still give this number because I enjoyed his acting immensely and was sure to notice his every, last detail. But yes, if I was a biased fan, I would perhaps give him a 9 for making me smile every time he heat up my screen.

Genelia D’Souza: A born actress. She knows how to act tough and rough extremely well. You would even consider her a true tomboy. She gives true justice to the character of Aditi. Her presence on the screen will make you feel what her character feels. If she cries, we also feel it. When she is angry, you also are. I enjoyed this performace of hers. It was brilliant and I would straight out give her a 9!

The Gang: Simple perfect. Each and every one of the actors played their part perfectly. They should receive as much credit as Imran and Genelia. They were in the whole movie just as much as they were, or even longer, as they narrate the story. I think the story would not have been as enjoyable without them. So Jiggy, Shaleen, Rotlu, and Bombs-hats off to you guys. I appreciated their characters very, very much.

So in the end, I was very happy that I made a good choice to pay for a film. The last one I saw in a theatre was Taare Zameen Par, and now, another Aamir Khan Production leaves me content. In the end, I would only shout out a big thank you to Abbas T. for making such a classic love story into one for the modern days. The dialogues were very witty, and the direction was great.

If you are having any doubts whether to watch this or not, I say go ahead. You will laugh and you’ll love this cute story.

Bollywood creations!

Haha, the posting is back, with some new bolly creations I have made in the last weeks :D I have plenty of Imran, so if you dont like him...so so sorry! But other than that I have some Aamir, Asin, Arjun, and a Raima Sen signature of a picture that was very inspirational. So that and some Imran. A new banner is up that is exactly like the signature version. I sorta liked the siggi, so I remade a banner in a bigger size. There are still issues with it anyways hehe. Its from their new Cineblitz scans that I feel in love with. I'm so in love with those scans, since they look HOT!TOMORROW IS Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na...*woooooooo* I'll be catching it tomorrow night itself, so i will post my review here also. I can't wait!!

Back; posting at LJ again!

I'm in party and lazy mode. School is finally over and now I can start posting at LJ again. I have more time on my hands. I have a TON of creatuons I made during the last time I updated, but I wont post those unless people would like to see them. anything I make here on will definitely be posted here. This post is just a small post on how I'm back and to talk about my reason of absense from LJ. I was mainly booked with the ending of school, which didn't leave me with time to go on many places of the web. But I guess I cheated my making artwork which came to be my treatment in the middle of the night. It was a stress reliever. Basically the last days of school were the most stressful, not only because of final exams, but becauseour teachers decided that the last week of school was when to pile on the projects. All of us were literally pissed because we had only a week to complete more than five different projects GR. But I was able to complete everything at the last moment and got good grades. yay me! now im totally free and enjoying the summer. I have so much more time to hang out with the people I love and to talk to my online buddies. the first days have been relaxing. I got to go skatboarding and today I ran two miles at the beach with my friends. It was totally great.
I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying your summer. I shall post some work soon :D
